Milton Keynes Dons are proud to support a campaign encouraging football fans to Sign for Life and join the NHS Organ Donor Register.
From Saturday 27th February to Sunday 13th March, football fans across the nation are being asked to “join our team” and sign up to the NHS Organ Donor Register to help save lives.
Three people die each day in need of a transplant and there are currently around 6,500 people on the waiting list in the UK because of a shortage of organ donors. We want to blow the whistle on these figures and do something about it.
Following a hugely successful campaign last year supported by 27 clubs, foundations and organisations, NHS Blood and Transplant is aiming to get even more people talking about organ donation and taking action in 2016.
How to get involved:
• Join our team: register as an organ donor at organdonation.nhs.uk/signforlife or call 0300 123 23 23
• Share your decision with your family, as NHS Blood and Transplant will need them to support donation going ahead
• Follow the campaign on social media using #signforlife
