Last chance to bid on signed shirt - support Prostate Cancer UK!

31 March 2016

Twenty-five signed football shirts being auctioned by Football League sponsor Sky Bet, in aid of Jeff Stelling’s Men United March for Prostate Cancer UK, are ending soon.

Shirts from each of the clubs that Jeff has passed are going under the hammer now.

Shirts were listed on Sky Bet’s eBay page throughout the challenge at the point that Jeff passed each of the 25 Football League clubs on route.

Jeff completed 10 walking marathons in 10 days, starting in the North East and ending with a marathon across West London to Wembley Stadium.

Sky Bet employees joined Jeff on the Leeds leg of his journey, and provided Jeff with free charity bets for the cause every day, from which he has currently made more than £3,000.

So far Jeff has raised over £300,000.

He said: “Over ten thousand people die of Prostate Cancer each year. I’ve been personally affected and it’s likely that you know someone who has, too.

“I’d like to thank Sky Bet for their support for my Men United March and I’d urge fans to have a bid on one of the shirts in the auctions.

“Alternatively you can text JEFF to 70004 to donate £3 to the March.”

Sky Bet Head of Sponsorship Edwin Martin said: “We’re delighted to be able to support Jeff in this incredible challenge and it was a pleasure to join him on the leg from York City to Leeds United.

“One in eight men will get prostate cancer at some stage in their life, with black men and people who have a family history of the disease even more susceptible. We want to help decrease that chance.”
