Cody Cropper and USA Under-23s are two matches away from a possible place at the 2016 Rio Olympics but in order to book their place at the games they must get past Colombia.
The US finished top of their CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying Championship group last year but lost 2-0 to eventual runners-up Honduras in the semi finals back in October. However, three days later, they secured a play-off berth with a 2-0 victory over Canada.
That triumph set up this upcoming two-legged play-off against Columbia, the second-placed team from CONMEBOL.
USA trained in Miami for three days before flying to Barranquilla on Wednesday ahead of tonight’s game. They will then return to the States for their return fixture, which will take place at the Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
The match won’t be shown on UK television but fans can stay in touch via the US Under-23s official Twitter channel - @ussoccer_ynt
