Bid to win a signed Dons shirt & support Men United!

22 March 2016

Sky Bet, the title sponsor of The Football League, are to auction 25 signed football shirts, in aid of Jeff Stelling’s Men United March for Prostate Cancer UK.

Shirts from each of the clubs that Jeff passes, including the Dons, began to go under the hammer from Monday when Jeff walked his first marathon – from his beloved Hartlepool United via Middlesbrough to Marske.

Shirts will continue to be listed on Sky Bet’s eBay page throughout the challenge at the point that Jeff passes each of the 25 Football League clubs on route.

Jeff, who has so far raised £183,000, will attempt to undertake 10 walking marathons in 10 days, starting in the North East and ending with a marathon across West London, ending at Wembley stadium.

He is expected to pass stadiummk on Monday 28th March and the signed Dons shirt will be available to auction on that date from 4.30pm.

Jeff said: “Over 10 thousand people die of Prostate Cancer each year. I’ve been personally affected and it’s likely that you know someone who has, too.

“I’d like to thank Sky Bet for their support for my Men United March and I’d urge fans to have a bid on one of the shirts in the auctions.”

Sky Bet Head of Sponsorship Edwin Martin said: “We’re delighted to be able to support Jeff in this incredible challenge and I’ll be joining him on the leg from York City to Leeds United.

“One in eight men will get prostate cancer at some stage in their life and we want to help decrease that chance.”
