Pre-season plans - Dons in Dublin!

MK Dons will begin pre-season work ahead of the 2016/17 campaign on Monday 27th June.

Karl Robinson’s men will report for testing and screening before beginning their pre-season training at Woughton on the Green on Tuesday 28th.

The Dons will then fly out to the Republic of Ireland on Wednesday 6th July for their a week-long training camp in Dublin.

They will train on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and each day will include three sessions designed to improve the players’ fitness – stamina work on the beach, football-based sessions on the pitch and further strength and conditioning training in the gym.

Then, after a recovery day on Sunday, the Dons will play three matches across three days, subject to FA clearance – Monday 11th, Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th. Opponents and further match details will be confirmed in due course.

Robinson’s Dons will then return to the UK on Thursday 14th July ahead of their double-header against Cambridge City and St Ives Town – their first friendlies on home-soil.

The 2016/17 Sky Bet League One season begins on Saturday 6th August.
