Plan your 2016/17 away days!

22 June 2016

Now the fixtures are out, MK Dons fans can start to plan their road trips for forthcoming season - and those who travel to every away Sky Bet League One clash will rack up over 4,800 miles.

The Dons will begin the season with an away fixture at Shrewsbury Town, which will require a 228-mile round trip. They will also end the season on the road at Walsall but the Banks’s Stadium is just over 79 miles away from Stadium MK.

In total, fans will have to travel approximately for 2415.9 miles away fixtures throughout the year, if leaving from Stadium MK – which is over 300 miles fewer than last season. That number, added to the journey back, takes the total close to the 4,900 mark.

The furthest trip for the men from MK1 is to Fleetwood Town on Saturday 24th September, which is approximately 198 miles away from Stadium MK.

The shortest trip, meanwhile, is to Northampton Town on Saturday 3rd September – Sixfields is only 21.5 miles from the home of the Dons. In fact, 11 of the away trips next season are less than a 200-mile round trip.
