FIRST-TEAM
Manager
Oldham are currently without a manager following the departure of John Sheridan to Notts County. Frank Bunn, Warren Feeney, Peter Shirtliff and Mark Robins are among those currently linked with the vacancy.

Key and notable players
Midfielder Liam Kelly, a former Dons Academy player, was a key member of the Latics’ side in 2015/16 season, scoring six goals in 44 appearances in midfield.

Defender James Wilson featured over 40 times for the Latics last season, while up-front Oldham’s key players include Dominic Poleon and Jake Cassidy, although the former is out of contract at the end of the month.

Last season
Oldham endured a tough start to the 2015/16 campaign and parted company with boss Darren Kelly early on. David Dunn soon took charge but he was also relieved of his duties after just 17 league matches.

John Sheridan was the man tasked with keeping the Greater Manchester club in the third tier, which he did successfully – Oldham finished in 17th place, eight points above the drop zone.

Transfers
Oldham have been unable to keep hold of one of their key performers from last season, Joel Coleman, who has left the SportsDirect.com Park to join Huddersfield Town.

Mike Jones, Joseph Mills, David Cornell, Rhys Turner, Jordan Bove, Jack Truelove and Theo Vassell have also left Greater Manchester upon the expiry of their contracts.

In more positive news, Carl Winchester has committed his future to the Latics for a further 12 months and duo George Edmundson and Danny Byrnes have had options exercised.

Discussions are ongoing with the likes of Jonathan Forte, Anthony Gerrard, Brian Wilson, Lee Croft and Dominic Poleon.
