Euro 2016: Rasulo backing Italy

13 June 2016

Giorgio Rasulo is confident Italy can progress through their tough Euro 2016 group.

Italy begin their campaign tonight against Belgium in a heavyweight Group E clash and Rasulo, who has family ties in Naples, is backing the Azzurri to do well at this tournament.

“Italy always tend to do well at tournaments,” Rasulo told mkdons.com. “They are a side who are usually there or thereabouts in the latter stages and I think they’ll get to the semi-finals this year.

“In qualifiers and friendlies they don’t tend to set the world alright but they always just do enough to make it. Then, when they get to a big tournament, they always find themselves as underdogs but find a way to make it through.”

He continued: “I’m thoroughly looking forward to watching this summer. It’s going to be a good tournament and as well as Italy, I also think England have a good chance.”
