Duo raise £2K completing London to Amsterdam cycle

6 June 2016

A pair of MK Dons representatives have raised over £2,000 for Prostate Cancer UK by cycling from London to Amsterdam.

Marketing executive Oliver Stephenson and customer services representative Sam Swanton completed the Football to Amsterdam challenge last weekend, cycling 145 miles from the Lee Valley VeloPark in Harwich to the Amsterdam ArenA in the Dutch capital.

Donations have flooded with fans showing their support for the duo and the Football League’s official charity Prostate Cancer UK, who raise awareness of a disease which affects one in eight men.

Customer services rep Sam told mkdons.com: “It was physically and mentally the most challenging event I've ever taken part in, yet it was by far the most rewarding.

“We are extremely grateful for all those who have donated to such a fantastic cause - we're delighted to have hit our target of £2,000!”

There is still time to donate and show your support for the duo for their magnificent accomplishment – click here to visit the JustGiving page!
