George Baldock and Ed Upson give their reaction after MK Dons' final Ireland-based friendly...

GEORGE BALDOCK
On team’s performances in Ireland…
“I think the boys are looking really well. It’s been a really intense seven days. Obviously we had the day off on Sunday but apart from that, Damo has been running the socks off us. I’m glad to get this part over and done with and now we can look forward to even more games.”

On three positive results…
“The gaffer’s made it quite clear that he wants us to win every game in pre-season. He’s let us off the Everton one, which is quite kind of him. I think it’s important we start breeding that winning mentality, especially with the youngsters coming through. We do want to be known as a winning club and the only blip we have in our recent history was last year. We don’t want to replicate that, we want to get back to winning ways.

On benefiting from Ireland training camp…
“It was always the plan, as it is every year, to have a few days intense training and then have three games back to back. It’s important to get minutes under the belt and stay injury free.”

ED UPSON
On Ireland trip…
“It’s been really good. It’s been nice to get into the games and get the running out the way. There have been some good tests, some good games and it it’s been really enjoyable.”

On bonding with his new teammates…
“I’ve got to know everyone really well and hopefully they got to know me well too. It’s been a good bonding experience but more than that, on the fitness side, we’ve really kicked on from where we were in Milton Keynes.”

On finding match sharpness…
“It’s nice to blow the cobwebs off, get your touch back on your range. It’s been really, really enjoyable.”

On Saturday’s double-header…
“I’m really looking forward to that and being able to show them what I can do.”
