George Williams is back at home with MK Dons and the right-back can’t wait to pull on the shirt once again.
Following his departure, he went on to enjoy spells at Worcester City and Barnsley, as well earn a degree at Loughborough University, before opting for a move back to where it all began ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.
“It feels really good to be back at MK Dons,” Williams told MK Dons PlayerHD, after putting pen-to-paper on a two-year deal which will run until June 2018. “This is my hometown club so I’m over the moon to be back – it’s brilliant.
“I had a really good meeting with Karl and the staff - my decision was made as soon as I left the building.”
“Me and the manager had a good chat but he didn’t have to sell the move to me. I was here when I was younger so I know the Club well. I’d always check up and see how the Dons are doing.
“It was one of the easiest decisions I’ve made, to come back here. I had a little bit of interest in me, here and there, but as soon as I heard MK Dons was interested in me, my mind was made up – it was an easy decision from there. Williams could make his first Stadium MK appearance as a Dons player on Tuesday 26th July, when the men from MK1 host Everton in a pre-season friendly.
