Duo's Iceland spell concludes

19 July 2016

Throttur Reykjavik were beaten by two stoppage-time goals on Monday evening, in Callum Brittain and Kabongo Tshimanga's last games with the Icelandic club.

Brittain, who has been ever-present in the Throttur starting line-up since making his debut in early June, looked to have helped his side earn a point against their city rivals Vikingur, but goals in the second and fourth minutes of stoppage-time respectively saw them slip to defeat.

Monday’s match was the final one of Brittain’s loan spell in Iceland, with the young defender due to fly back to the UK today. In total the 18-year-old made 10 appearances, helping Throttur reach the quarter-finals of the Icelandic Cup.

Kabongo Tshimanga, who wasn’t involved against Vikingur, also returns to the Dons following the expiry of his loan deal. The striker scored one goal in seven games during his 11-week stay in Iceland.

The pair will be available to feature in the Dons' upcoming friendlies, once they receive international clearance.
