Callum Brittain made his seventh straight start for Throttur Reykjavik on Monday evening but couldn’t prevent them exiting the Icelandic Cup at the quarter-final stage.
FH took the lead 20 minutes in when Jonathan Hendrickx’s ball across the box was tapped home by Þórarinn Ingi Valdimarsson at the far post.
The visiting striker then doubled his side’s advantage just after the re-start with his second goal of the afternoon – a header from Steven Lennon’s cross.
FH sealed victory in the 54th minute through Kristjan Finnbogason, who latched onto Emil Palsson’s through pass and finished cooly past Arnar Darri Pétursson.
After exiting the competition, attention for Brittain, Tshimanga and Throttur turns to their fight for survival in the Icelandic Premier Division – they face bottom club Fylkir in their next league fixture, next Monday evening.
