MK Dons has been boosted by the news that George Baldock has signed a new two-year contract with the Football Club.
The deal will keep the academy graduate – one of 11 in the current first-team squad - at Stadium MK until at least the summer of 2018.
Since progressing through the ranks, Baldock has played 83 times for the Dons, while the full-back has added a further 50 appearances during loan spells for Northampton Town, Tamworth and Oxford.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be staying,” the 23-year-old told MK Dons PlayerHD. “I love playing for the Football Club – the manager, the lads, the staff and the fans have been great to me.
“I really want to kick on and my aim is to help the Club hopefully have a successful one this season.”
Karl Robinson added to PlayerHD: “I want George Baldock to be the best right-back in the league, that’s the challenge I’ve set him.
“He has a huge number of attributes and I have tremendous faith in him. He only changed his position three seasons ago and he’s worked extremely hard.
“He knows what I think of him – off the field, I think the world of him. On the field, where he is judged, he is a top right-back and it’s great news for the Football Club.”
