Darren Potter believes Sunday’s Emirates FA Cup tie with Chelsea will be a great experience for him and his teammates.
“I’m sure most of the lads have been thinking about the game since the draw happened and I’d lying if I say I wasn’t doing the same thing,” Potter told the media. “It’s just the natural thing to do.
“It’s going to be a great experience for everybody involved. We have to make sure enjoy it and do the best thing we can do.”
“The game has gone now and there is nothing we can do it about it unfortunately. All we can do is concentrate on what is coming in the future. This is a nice distraction from the league.”
“Sometimes you can sit and look back on a defeat like we suffered last week and it doesn’t always do you good. Sometimes it’s good to get away like we did and look at things from a different perspective when you come back.
Potter and co go into their tie with Chelsea on the back of a disappointing defeat to Bolton Wanderers last weekend but the influential midfielder feels it’s important the players put that game to the back of their memory and use Sunday as a welcome distraction.
