Karl Robinson admits Leeds’ late equaliser was a hard pill to swallow, given how well his side performed.
“We’re all a bit bewildered,” Robinson told MK Dons PlayerHD. “Sometimes you’ve just got to accept the unfortunate side of it and certainly in this one we’ve been dealt a very difficult blow.
“My players’ style, integrity and class shone right the way through the game, it was just a small error from Kaysey, who I thought was one of the best players on the pitch.”
“Those two points would have been massive for us but four points over the Christmas period isn’t bad. Hopefully we can move on from here."
Saturday’s result means the Dons finish the post-Christmas period having taken four points from a possible nine – a reasonable return according to the manager.
“If we can continue playing this way, we’ll get ourselves out of trouble.”
He continued: “The players need to realise that they can come to places like Leeds United, go against some of the best players in the league and dominate like we did, playing our way on a pitch which made that difficult.”
