Jake re-joins the Dons

8 January 2016

The Dons have re-signed Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey on loan until the end of the season.

Forster-Caskey, 21, shone while on loan at stadiummk earlier this campaign, making five appearances including a very impressive display in the men from MK1’s 3-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers where he provided the assist for the third goal.

The talented central midfielder has 72 Sky Bet Championship appearances to his name in total, while he also has earned 15 caps for England at Under-21 level.

Forster-Caskey is eligible to feature in the Emirates FA Cup and, subject to clearance, could make his return on Saturday at Northampton Town.

“I’m delighted to be back,” Forster-Caskey told MK Dons PlayerHD. “I’ve obviously been here before, I know what the Club is all about and I just can’t wait to get started.

“I want to play regular football. I’m here until the end of the season - I can get my head down and really focus.”

Manager Karl Robinson told mkdons.com: “I’m over the moon that Jake is back. I felt he was a real success in his first spell with us earlier this season and this was highlighted when we looked back and saw he was the top of our attacking stats for a midfield player.

“When he was here before, Darren Potter wasn’t fit and Samir Carruthers wasn’t playing in central midfield and, as a group, this time around I’m sure they will offer good balance.”

He added: “He has got experience of the Championship and on the international stage, while he also understands the roles and responsibilities of what it takes to play for MK Dons.

“I’m really looking forward to working with him again.”

Forster-Caskey will retain the number 44 shirt.
