Dean and Dons eager to respond

14 January 2016

Dean Lewington expects the Dons to react to Tuesday’s disappointment when they take on Reading this weekend.

Karl Robinson’s men will be eager to bounce back after being beaten by Burnley in midweek, and picking up a sixth home victory of the season at stadiummk would be the ideal way to do that according to the captain.

"I expect to see a reaction from the boys," Lewington told MK Dons PlayerHD. "If we can get three points on Saturday, I’m sure that will go some way to making up for this.

He continued: "The Brentford game is the only other time I can remember us being that bad. The good thing is we’ve got a game on Saturday and hopefully we can respond."

"We can’t forget it, we need to look at it and make sure it doesn’t happen again. We know we aren't going to win as many games as last season but putting in a performance that makes a team have to work hard and play well to beat us is a must."

"The fans have always been great and they are aware that we’re up against it in this league, but I’m sure they don’t expect that level of performance at the end - the collapse was unacceptable.
