Jonny Williams has had to wait patiently for his chance to impress but the on-loan midfielder is looking to take that opportunity once it arrives.
However, now approaching full fitness, the 22-year-old is eager to get back on the pitch and show his team-mates, the Dons staff and the supporters what he’s all about.
“I’ve struggled with a bit of a shoulder problem since my first game and I’ve been trying to let it settle as much as I can in training and games,” Williams told DOTRED in an exclusive interview. “I’m getting back to a level now where I’m able to compete at 100%,”
“I came here to play games and get myself up to speed and I’m excited to play my part whenever I’m called upon.
“I’ll always give 100% effort when I’m out on the pitch and hopefully I can add some goals and assists.”
He continued: “I’m enjoying myself (with the Dons). There are a great bunch of lads here with some great staff. There’s a real friendly environment but a hard-working one as well.
“This is a place that is fighting to stay in the division so it’s a different experience for me. One of the reasons I came here was to challenge myself. It’s a new environment for me and it’s a different challenge.”
