Dons supporting Prostate Cancer UK this Saturday

29 February 2016

The Dons welcome Men United to stadiummk on Saturday when they host their Prostate Cancer UK awareness day.

While Karl Robinson’s men will be looking to pick up an important three points on the pitch when they take on Queens Park Rangers, the Club will using the day to raise money in aid of Prostate Cancer UK – a charity which aims to fight a disease which affects one in eight men.

There will be bucket collections around stadiummk on Saturday, while the players will be wearing promotional t-shirts during their warm-up.

Details of other fundraising opportunities, including some exciting match experiences for fans, will be confirmed shortly.

Whether you’ll be a part of Men United by donating and supporting Prostate Cancer UK on Saturday and you’ll be doing your bit to help the charity in their aim to shift the science over the next 10 years so that prostate cancer is a disease the next generation of men need not fear.

The Dons’ support of Prostate Cancer UK continues throughout the year and the Club will be backing a number of future events in aid of the charity.

In June, two members of Club staff, marketing executive Oliver Stephenson and customer services representative Sam Swanton, will take part in the London to Amsterdam bike ride.

The pair will be joining Terry Butcher and Viv Anderson and cycling 145 miles from the nation’s capital to Amsterdam across three days at the start of June.

Details on how to donate to follow in due course.

Meanwhile, the Dons will be supporting Sky Sports’ Jeff Stelling on his Men United March, which takes place later this month.

The popular presenter will be walking 10 marathons in 10 days from Hartlepool United to Wembley Stadium to help raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
