A young MK DonsXI bowed out of the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup after a defeat at Slough Town.
The first chance of the evening fell to Slough's Elijah Adebayo, who fired wide after captain Charlie Burns had pushed away Lewis Putman's teasing cross.
Mike Dove's side grew into it and some clever play from Connor Furlong almost unlocked the hosts' defence as he looked for Kabongo Tshimanga with 15 minutes on the clock.
Shortly afterwards, the Dons went forward twice in quick succession - Brandon Thomas-Asante couldn't reach the first cross from Bradley Bell, while the second he mis-hit.
At the other end, Gavin James curled wide from 20 yards before Adebayo headed the hosts in front from close range midway through the first half.
Burns ensured the score remained at 1-0 10 minutes before the break, getting down well to deny James from the edge of the box.
He pulled off an even better save a couple of minutes later, this time saving from Mark Nisbet, who had found himself some space inside the box.
Furlong was presented with a good opportunity in the first five minutes of the second half but his touch let him down at the crucial stage.
However, Mark Nisbet doubled the hosts' lead just before the hour mark when he fired into the bottom left-hand corner from the edge of the box.
Adebayo was denied his second of the night on 65 minutes by another superb stop from Burns, who was out quickly to smother the striker's effort.
Slough substitute James Dobson steered home at the back post to make it 3-0 with seven minutes remaining.
Sam Nombe and substitute Jay Bird came close to reducing the arrears in quick succession late on - Nombe curled wide before the latter was denied when through one-on-one.
Starting XI: Burns, Kioso, Omar (Wright 75), Hope, Kasumu, Osei-Bonsu, Bell (Bird 46), Furlong, Nombe, Thomas-Asante, Tshimanga.
