Dons spread Christmas cheer

21 December 2016

MK Dons made their annual visit to Milton Keynes General Hospital on Wednesday.

First-team quartet Paul Downing, David Martin, Nicky Maynard and Darren Potter helped spread some Christmas cheer around the children’s ward.

They personally delivered Dons goodie bags including a 2017 calendar and a Donny and Mooie keyring, as well as signed photos.

Toys R Us gift vouchers were also handed out to the children, which had been paid for by the first-team squad.

As well as handing out the presents, the players were able to lift the spirits of the parents (and nursing staff too!) by posing for photos, signing autographs and chatting about all things football and Christmas!

David Martin told mkdons.com: “Christmas is a special time of year but it’s also a difficult one for people, including families who are affected by their loved ones being in hospital.

“It’s one of the toughest of our community visits in the year but it’s also one of the most important – hopefully we managed to put some smiles on faces.”
