Scott wants to maintain winning mentality

Scott Wootton enjoyed a dream league debut for MK Dons on Saturday and now the defender wants to build on the momentum.

Wootton powered a 95th-minute header past Rochdale keeper Conrad Logan to earn his side all three points in their Sky Bet League One clash at the Crown Oil Arena – their second straight away league success to nil.

“It’s a good start on a personal level,” Wootton told MK Dons PlayerHD. “It’s a great three points for the team, which is always the main thing. As a defence, the clean sheet is great as well - to keep two clean sheets in two away league games is not a bad start."

“It’s a sign of a good team, when you don’t play well but win. (Rochdale) have got a good home record as well, so to come back with three points is great for the team.”

“The way that we play makes it difficult to play very well every single week, so you have to dig in, show character and defend – that’s what we’ve done and kept a clean sheet.
