Karl Robinson says desire was a major factor in the Dons’ dramatic success at Rochdale.
“We were way off our best but the pleasing thing for me was the tackles, the saves and the blocks – it was a gritty performance,” he told MK Dons PlayerHD.
“This a difficult place to come, especially without some key players, and Keith has done a magnificent job - they will feel they should have got more from the game and I couldn’t argue with that.”
“It was nice to score from a set-piece as we don’t normally do that. The delivery was outstanding and Scott put his head in where it hurts to score the goal."
He added of Wootton’s winner: “You don’t score a goal at a better time – I think Scott deserved that for his performance. He showed what a good player he is and it’s about him getting fitter now, as well Bowds and Reevesy.
