Lewie eyes response at Rochdale

19 August 2016

Dean Lewington is confident MK Dons will react to Tuesday’s disappointment with a positive result and performance at Rochdale this weekend.

Lewington & Co saw their unbeaten start to the 2016/17 season come to an end after a 2-1 defeat to Bradford City at Stadium MK, so they’ll be looking to bounce back this Saturday at the Crown Oil Arena.

“It’s disappointing but (losing) is part and parcel of football, it’s about how you react to that loss,” Lewington told MK Dons PlayerHD. “We look forward now to Rochdale where we’ll try and get a positive result.”

Tuesday’s loss to the Bantams has been the only blot on an otherwise positive start to the new season and Lewington believes there is plenty to be optimistic about.

“We are creating chances and we’re looking dominant in most areas of the game, we just need to brush up on little bits and pieces, then hopefully it will come together.”

“We’re working very hard on the training ground with the new boys we’ve got in and I think we’ll keep on getting better and better.

He said: “We’re very disappointed with the result (on Tuesday) but there’s a lot to be positive about. We’ve got a few new faces in the team and you have to go through these mini-lessons sometimes – we’ll get better for that.
Tickets for MK Dons' clash at Rochdale can now only be bought, cash only, at the Crown Oil Arena - they are priced at £22 adults, £16 seniors/young persons and £5 juniors.
