Dean Bowditch has been involved in a number of MK Dons-Peterborough derbies and the winger is looking forward to reigniting that rivalry this weekend.
After recovering from a calf injury, Bowditch has featured in the Dons’ last three Sky Bet League One fixtures, including last Saturday’s 1-0 win at Rochdale, and the long-serving forward is expected to be involved again this weekend as the Dons look to pick up their first home victory against Posh.
“Whenever the two clubs come up against each other, there is always that little bit of extra bite,” Bowditch exclusively told REDDOT.
“We both want to beat each other and there’s a little bit of history with the fixture. Of course it’s going to be a bit more edgy. We’ve got a few fixtures like that this year so it’s going to be an interesting season.
“We want to beat them, though, like we want to beat every other team.”
