Like every player that joins the Dons, they go through a series of tests before signing on the dotted line.
Head of Sports Medicine Simon Crampton explains the process: “A medical usually takes around half a day to complete. After discussing the player’s medical history, he will go through a series of assessments with me and the doctor.
“I will look at him from a muscular-skeletal point of view – I check his muscles, joints, ligaments, how he’s moving and functioning, while the doctor will check any medical issues.”
The dynamic-movement assessment was captured on camera and Crampton said: “In this part of the medical we see how he moves and functions – with that, we are looking at anything that is really obvious which might stop us from signing the player but, more importantly, we are looking at issues we can correct once he has joined us, prevent him from injuries and, of course, aid his performance.
