Karl Robinson has confirmed that four youngsters will travel with the first-team squad at the weekend.
Furlong and Kasumu both operate in central-midfield positions, whereas Jackson is a left-sided centre-back and Nombe is a forward.
“It’s been a difficult season and obviously we are all very disappointed,” Robinson told MK Dons PlayerHD. “We want to look forward and I’m hopeful some of these can follow in the footsteps of some of our other Academy players.
“I’ve got tremendous faith in them and it’s a really exciting time for these four – there’s some more as well but I can’t bring them all!
“It’s operation youth and the last time we had this window of opportunity, we utilised it by bringing in Dele, Brendan and Giorgio and pushing them forward.”
He added: “It’s about the future and what will drive us forward is these four getting experience of a first-team environment.”
Robinson concluded by sending this message to the fans: “The fans of this Football Club are the most important thing – they will be here through thick and thin.
“The support they’ve shown me and the team has been immense and these are the moments you never forget – it’s okay when you’re winning but they’ve always been there during this difficult year.
“They are the ones we try to make happy every time we step over the white line and unfortunately we haven’t done that enough this season – we’ve let them down.
“We go to Ipswich looking to put a performance on for them, also with an eye on the future.”
