Robbo reacts to Rotherham defeat

11 April 2016

Karl Robinson is fully aware that Saturday’s result against Rotherham United leaves the Dons in a tough position.

Robinson’s men were beaten by the Millers at stadiummk this past weekend and are now nine points adrift of safety in the Sky Bet Championship.

“We’ll always keep going but we’re now nine points adrift,” Robinson told MK Dons PlayerHD. “We’re in a difficult predicament, one we never wanted to be in.

“We are where we are and all we can do now is stay solid and together. We can’t change the past, we just have to take it on the chin.

“We need to stand up and be counted.”

Robinson's men will hope to respond this Saturday when they visit Deepdale to take on Preston North End - tickets are priced from £24 adults and £8 juniors, while travel is available from £20 adults and £19 all other supporters.

“But, it’s what happens in the two penalty areas that matters. It’s where teams are judged and we weren’t good enough in ours or theirs.”

He added: “I felt we outplayed them in parts and I don’t think you can fault anybodies effort because that’s been there all season.

The Dons were made to pay by Rotherham for mistakes at the back and a lack of cutting edge up front, and Robinson recognises that his side were punished for not being ruthless enough in both penalty areas.
