Fan-tastic turnout for Buckingham Forum

15 April 2016

Karl Robinson, Andrew Cullen and George Baldock were quizzed by supporters at a Fans Forum on Thursday night.

The Forum took place at Buckingham Athletic Football Club and close to 100 fans were in attendance, most armed with questions to put the Dons trio.

Robinson said he was disappointed where the team find themselves in the Sky Bet Championship table but did stress that he knew this season would be a challenge given the strength of opposition.

In terms of recruitment, the Dons boss admitted he took risks in the summer which didn’t pay off. He also revealed planning for this upcoming transfer window is already underway, with strikers, central midfielders and centre-backs on the wish list.

Executive Director Andrew Cullen explained how Championship clubs operate financially and how difficult it is for the Dons to compete with most teams in the division.

Baldock, a pupil at the Royal Latin School in Buckingham, revealed that his role model growing up was David Beckham, before insisting that he’s glad he made the switch from midfield to full-back.

The Buckingham-based Forum was being held ahead of the town’s Big Day which takes place at stadiummk on Saturday 23 April, when the Dons take on Brentford.
