Dons back bowel cancer awareness campaign

11 April 2016

The Dons showed their support for Bowel Cancer Awareness by taking part in the Know the Score campaign.

The men from MK1 wore #KnowTheScore t-shirts during the warm-up of Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Rotherham United. The players then handed those tops to fans in the stadiummk crowd.

Bowel cancer is the UK’s fourth most common cancer, with 41,000 new cases each year. It’s also the second biggest cause of cancer death.

Every 90 minutes three people die of the disease. That’s 44 people each day - the equivalent to four football teams - but it needn’t be that way.

This April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month and players and managers across the Football League are supporting the fifth annual Know the Score campaign.
