Upson looking up

9 September 2015

Matt Upson is confident the Dons can build on their positive start to the 2015/16 season.

Karl Robinson’s men took seven points from their five Sky Bet Championship games in August, while also reaching the third round of the Capital One Cup courtesy of two come-from-behind victories over Leyton Orient and Cardiff City.

“We have had a great start,” Upson told The Football League Paper. “Realistically we couldn’t have wished for much better and I don’t see any reason why that should change.”

Upson has made three appearances since joining the Dons on a free transfer in late July and the 36-year-old is looking forward to featuring in more games now he has caught up on time lost during pre-season.

“I had a bit of catching up to do this summer in terms of gaining some match practice. I’ve done my pre-season work and I came through the last game without any problems so I’m feeling good.”
