Karl Robinson believes his ‘excellent’ side deserved to take something from their trip to Burnley on Tuesday night.
“Once again we deserved more than what we’ve got out of the game,” Robinson told MK Dons PlayerHD. “We came here to play a very good football team, who have just been relegated from the Premier League, and we did not look like a team that had just been promoted – we looked a good side.
“We looked a better team than we probably have done all year tonight and that’s the pleasing thing. We’re getting better and we’re going to keep getting better because we’ll stick together. I’ve got tremendous belief in these players.”
He continued: “The fixtures have been difficult away from home but we drew against Reading, we were in it against Middlesbrough before that wonder goal from Stewart Downing and we were also in this game against Burnley.
“I’m sounding like a broken record but I can’t ask anymore from my players. The players can go away with their heads held high and if they keep believing in our philosophy and, more importantly, themselves then they’ll get the results eventually.”
