Dons 2012-2013, 2013-2014; Middlesbrough 2014-2015
Young striker Bamford enjoyed three loan spells with the Dons between 2012 and 2014, making a name for himself by scoring 21 goals in 44 games.
After another impressive loan spell at Derby County, Bamford joined Middlesbrough on a season-long deal in August 2014 and he helped the Boro reach the Championship play-off final – he finished the season with 19 goals to his name from 44 appearances.
Adam Clayton
Dons 2011; Middlesbrough 2014-present
The Dons signed midfielder Clayton on loan in March 2011 to help with their push for promotion in League 1. He featured eight times during his two-month spell in Milton Keynes, scoring a memorable late winner in an important 3-2 win over Carlisle United.
Clayton then moved to Huddersfield Town on a permanent deal before joining Middlesbrough in August 2014. He remains with at Riverside Stadium today and currently has 55 appearances to his name.
