The Dons have signed Brighton & Hove Albion’s England Under-21 international midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey on loan.
The 21-year-old, who has been with Brighton since 2007, has tallied over 100 professional appearances for both the Seagulls and Oxford United with whom he spent time on loan at during 2012/13. He has also scored 13 goals at senior level.
On the international stage, Forster-Caskey has represented England at every level from Under-16s through to Under-21s. He was part of Gareth Southgate’s Under-21s squad for European Championships this past summer.
Dons boss Robinson told MK Dons PlayerHD: "To have played for England at all youth levels and plenty of times in the Championship, it shows what a quality player he is.
"I saw him when he came on for Dele in the U21s recently and he’s someone I’ve got tremendous respect for. Keith Andrews and Matt Upson played with him at Brighton so we weren’t going in blind, plus he’s got Championship experience and came within our wage structure.
"Jake will bring tremendous footballing ability to the group – he’s a very talented individual."
The deal includes a recall clause after 28 days, while Forster-Caskey will not be eligible to feature in the Capital One Cup due to having already played in the competition for Brighton.
