Maynard makes debut

24 September 2015

Nicky Maynard made his Dons debut in Wednesday night’s Capital One Cup third-round tie with Southampton.

The striker, who has signed on a deal until the end of the 2015/16 season, was introduced to the stadiummk crowd as a 58th minute substitute and looked lively during his time on the pitch.

Midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey, another recent acquisition, was ineligible to feature in Wednesday’s game having already played in the competition for parent club Brighton & Hove Albion, but he was at MK1 to meet his new teammates.

Speaking to MK Dons PlayerHD, manager Karl Robinson said: “I thought Nicky was excellent when he came on and it was good to have Jake Forster-Caskey here with the group as well.

“These two players will hopefully help to take us forward over forthcoming games.”
