Lewie looking to repay supporters

24 September 2015

A disappointed Dean Lewington says the players owe the supporters a performance after Wednesday’s Capital One Cup defeat to Southampton.

The men from MK1 were beaten heavily by the Premier League outfit at stadiummk and the captain is eager to make amends this Saturday when Derby County visit for a lunchtime Sky Bet Championship clash.

“We owe the fans after Wednesday’s game and we’ve got a lot to prove as well,” Lewington told MK Dons PlayerHD.

“I must mention the fans as the majority stayed until the end on Wednesday and made great noise despite the scoreline. We haven’t lost like that for years so it meant a lot that they did continue to back us and now we want to repay them by going out and putting on a performance on Saturday.”

He continued: “To say Wednesday was a tough night would be an understatement. For a lot of the game we were completely outclassed and outplayed and that is very disappointing.

“We’re on a bit of a poor run but Saturday is a big game and it gives us the chance to go out and give them a right good go.”

Tickets for Saturday's lunchtime clash with Derby County are priced from £25 for adults, £17 for over-65s and under-21s, £7 for under-18s while under-12s can go FREE with a Young Dons membership!
