Jake Forster-Caskey says the Dons are striving to become more ruthless in front of goal.
Therefore, heading into this weekend’s trip to Bristol City, Forster-Caskey wants to see the team be more clinical in the attacking third and hopes that will lead to a change in results.
“The Gaffer just wants us to be a little bit more ruthless,” he told MK Dons PlayerHD. “If anybody watched the game the other day they’d say we did really well but there’s no point playing well and not picking up any points.
“We know we’ve got to improve because the results of late haven’t been up to scratch with the performances. We’re just looking to the next game where hopefully we can get the three points.”
Forster-Caskey played the entire 90 minutes against the Rams and looked assured in central midfield alongside fellow loanee Diego Poyet. Now, the 21-year-old wants to build on that performance and look to help the Dons the best he can during his time at stadiummk.
“I’m here for a month and I just want to get my head down and play football - I’ve come here to play and try and improve the team here.
“I’ve really enjoyed (my first week) and all the boys have made me feel very welcome. I was delighted to start (against Derby) and I wouldn’t say I was surprised by how well we played but I was definitely impressed."
