Hodson happy with Dons start

1 September 2015

Lee Hodson believes the Dons can take confidence from what has been a solid start to life in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Dons fell to only their second loss of the season on Saturday but they still head into September with 11th in the table and with seven points to their name – a good return according to the right-back.

“We’ve started well and got seven points,” Hodson told MK Dons PlayerHD. “This one was disappointing but we still should be full of confidence from the games before and we can’t let one defeat bring us down. The results will keep coming if we play like we know we can.

“There were parts of the (Birmingham) game where we did well and there were parts of the game where we were sloppy. The two goals we conceded were disappointing, considering the way we’ve been playing.

“It’s a learning curve for us and we will improve as a team from this. We’ve got a little break now so we’ll look back on this game and see what we can improve on. I’m sure the lads will be ready and raring to go for our next game.”
