Harry Hickford made his debut for Torquay United on Saturday, in their National League North clash with Lincoln City.
Hickford, though, couldn’t prevent United suffering a 2-0 loss at Sincil Bank – their third straight defeat.
Elsewhere, George Baldock continued his impressive run of playing in every minute of Oxford United’s 2015/16 Sky Bet League 2 campaign.
Baldock made his tenth straight competitive start for the U’s, as they were held to a goalless draw by Morecambe at the Kassam Stadium - a result which keeps them inside the play-off places in the table, four points adrift of the top three.
Also in League 2, Tom Hitchcock featured from the start for Stevenage for the fourth straight game as they were beaten 1-0 at home to Cambridge United.
The striker went close to opening the scoring for Boro with a header which went just past the post before being substituted just after the hour mark. The Hertfordshire side conceded the decisive goal in stoppage time.
The only other Don in loan action on Saturday was striker Kabongo Tshimanga, who played the full 90 minutes in Corby Town’s Emirates FA Cup second round qualifying tie with Rushall Olympic.
The Steelmen fell behind early in the second half but were able to draw level and earn themselves a replay which will take place on Tuesday night. Tshimanga did, though, go close to winning the contest late on but he was denied by the Rushall goalkeeper.
