Karl Robinson is looking forward to Saturday’s return to stadiummk, where the Dons will do battle with one of his former clubs.
“We’re thoroughly excited to be back playing at stadiummk in front of our fans again,” Robinson told the media. “It’s something we’ve been looking forward to. We played very well here during that period where we didn’t win and now we’ll be looking to get a result here.
“I know Blackburn very well because of the time I spent there. I’ve an affinity with the club and I will do forever because I loved my time there. It’s a great part of the world and the fans are fantastic. The backroom staff at the time were great as well and I know Gary (Bowyer, Blackburn manager) from that time as well.”
In their next two league fixtures the Dons face a pair of sides in Blackburn and Huddersfield Town that sit within four places of them in the Championship table.
That doesn’t mean, however, that Robinson is viewing them any differently to his side’s recent clashes against the likes of Middlesbrough, Burnley and Derby County.
“I’ve not looked at any of these games and differentiated them in anyway. I understand that, externally, some people will look at our next games differently to the ones we’ve played recently but we go into every game thinking we can win it. We treat them all the same.”
Tickets for Saturday's clash with Blackburn Rovers are priced from £25 adults and £7 under-18s, while under-12s go FREE with a Young Dons membership.
