Ben Reeves suffered a calf strain in Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship fixture with QPR at Loftus Road.
A scan has confirmed the injury which forced the Dons’ No.10 to be replaced just before the hour mark.
Reeves has started his rehabilitation programme and is under the supervision of the Club’s medical team.
Head of Sports Medicine Simon Crampton told mkdons.com: “It’s a bit early to put a timescale on how long Ben will be out for but, as with all the players, we will work closely with him to ensure a full recovery.”
