Rasulo relishing captain role

14 October 2015

Giorgio Rasulo donned the captain’s armband in Tuesday’s stunning Berks and Bucks County Senior Cup victory and the 18-year-old says he enjoyed the experience.

Rasulo was one of six players to get on the scoresheet in the terrific 14-0 win over Didcot Town, while he also provided a sublime assist for Tom Hitchcock to net the second of his three on the night.

“It was a really good win,” Rasulo told mkdons.com. “All the lads were tremendous and their work ethic was good - that showed in the scoreline. It can be difficult in games like this but we treated it like any other match and I was pleased with the performance.”

He continued: “I’ve never really been a captain before so it’s a new experience for me but I’m enjoying it and relishing the pressure. It was good to get a goal too as I haven’t scored in a while - it’s helped my confidence.”
