Darren Potter has signed a contract extension which will keep him at stadiummk until at least the summer of 2017.
Potter has been a pivotal figure for the men from MK1 since arriving in 2011, playing a crucial role in helping the Club reach the play-offs on two occasions as well as, of course, promotion to the Sky Bet Championship.
“This is my fifth season at the Club and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it,” said Potter. “I’m settled and I’m really pleased to be staying.
“Getting to where we are now is something we’ve been working hard for over the years, now we need to stay at this level and push on.”
Potter, who is currently on the way back from a knee injury, added: “My rehab is going well, I’m building up nicely and feeling strong so hopefully I’m not too far away. The weekend is a possibility.”
Karl Robinson said: “This is massive for us. The deal was done quickly and that shows just how much he wants to be here.
“Everyone saw in the games he played before he got injured how good and important he is to us. As well as his magnificent ability on the field, he’s also crucial off it – he’s a very likeable lad and a tremendous role model for the younger players.”
