Karl Robinson has called on his players to deliver another strong home performance this afternoon against Blackburn Rovers.
“It’s important that we come back here and try to put a good performance on,” Robinson told MK Dons PlayerHD.
“Last time we played here we were sensational and if we can put on a performance like that then hopefully we’ll get a result - the most important thing on Saturday is that we get a result.”
He continued: “Blackburn are a very good side and we know how hard it’s going to be. The work Gary and his team have done is phenomenal. Gary is an unbelievable guy and a great football person – he’s someone I’ve got the utmost respect for.
“We’re fully prepared for the challenge but we know we’re going to have to bring our a-game. We’ve worked as hard as we can leading up to the game and we’re going to work even harder once the whistle goes.”
Today sees Robinson go up against one of his former employers in Blackburn and although the Liverpudlian isn’t one to let sentiment get in the way, he is looking forward to reuniting with Rovers boss Gary Bowyer, whom he worked alongside during his time at Ewood Park.
“I went there from here with Paul (Ince) and I was lucky enough to stay under Sam (Allardyce). When I was there I was in and around some very good people from a football perspective.
“It was a tremendous place to work and going to Ewood Park to play at home was always a good moment to be a part of. It was a difficult decision to leave there because I loved it that much.”
Tickets for today's clash with Blackburn Rovers are priced from £25 adults and £7 under-18s, while under-12s go FREE with a Young Dons membership.
