Karl Robinson insists his players are going into Saturday’s clash with Hull City in a positive frame of mind.
“We’ve had a good week,” Robinson told MK Dons PlayerHD. “There is disappoint after the last two results, obviously, but in some ways we’ve prepared for this. We knew back in the summer that this was going to be a hard season.
“There haven’t been many games where we’ve been completely blown out of the water, even if some of the results make it look like we have been. The players can take heart from some of the performances they’ve put in.
“As a group, we’re very excited by the challenge of facing Hull although we understand how enormous that challenge is. We’re positive people and we’ll go into this game with a positive mindset.
He continued: “When you go through bad times, you tend to see disconnections in the group but I haven’t seen that here for one single moment. Everybody stands together in unity here and we have a very unique bond. Hopefully that will stand us in good stead.”
Saturday’s bout with Hull is the first of two home matches for the Dons in the next four days and Robinson says he and his players are looking forward to being back at home.
“It’s obviously nice to be at stadiummk because the fans here constantly cheer us on and support us. It’s encouraging knowing we’re coming home and we’re going to have a crowd right behind us.”
