Forster-Caskey gets England call

1 October 2015

Jake Forster-Caskey has been named in the England Under-21 squad for their Euro 2017 qualifier against Kazakhstan.

The Young Lions will face their Group 9 rivals at Coventry City’s Ricoh Arena on Tuesday 13th October, looking to secure a third successive Euro qualifying victory.

Also included in Gareth Southgate’s squad is Dons academy product Brendan Galloway, now of Everton, and former loanee Lewis Baker.

England began their quest to reach the Poland Finals with a 1-0 victory in Norway back in September – Forster-Caskey came off the bench in the match to help the Young Lions to victory.

The young midfielder, on loan at stadiummk from Brighton & Hove Albion, will join up with the group next Thursday and will return to Milton Keynes in time for the Dons’ Sky Bet Championship clash with Blackburn Rovers.

Forster-Caskey will be one of four Dons players on international duty next week along with Simon Church (Wales), Lee Hodson (Northern Ireland) and Sam Gallagher (England Under-20s)
