Church: Dons are confident

15 October 2015

The confidence is high in the Dons dressing room, according to striker Simon Church.

Church started the Dons’ last Sky Bet Championship outing against Bristol City, a game in which Daniel Powell struck late to earn the men from MK1 an important point – one that lifted them four places in the league table to 19th.

“It felt like a win,” Church exclusively told red dot. “It had been five league games on the bounce that we had lost so to get the point, in the way we did, was massive - we stopped the rot!

“We’ve always been confident because of the way we’ve been performing. We just need to start turning performances into points now and I’m sure that’ll happen in the near future.

“Two or three wins in a month can push you straight up this league and we’re confident we have the squad to do that.”

Read the full interview with Church in Saturday’s edition of red dot, which will be available from the Box Office and sellers around the ground for just £3.

The striker also talks about helping Wales secure Euro 2016 qualification, his first few months at stadiummk and the form of the Dons’ strikers.
