The Club’s first Golf Day at Whittlebury Park proved to be a huge success.
Sponsored by long-standing supporters and Official Platinum Partner Case Security, 19 teams took part in the event which started with a full English breakfast at 11am.
The groups, including either a member of the Dons’ first team or a celebrity, teed off at 12.30pm and, perhaps aptly, it was one of Case Security’s five teams that came out on top.
Captaining that successful foursome was David Martin, who swapped his gloves for clubs and drove them to triumph, subsequently being named best golfer.
Another of Case Security’s teams came second while Official Club Partner Easycopiers finished third. Whatever their position though, everyone was in great spirits at dinner, even more so after tucking into a delicious two-course meal.
A Q&A with manager Karl Robinson followed before the memorable event was concluded with the award presentations.
Corporate Partnerships manager Dan Cole said: "The event was a great success and, firstly, I’d like to thank Whittlebury Park for being the perfect hosts.
"We wouldn’t be able to put on this event without the continued support of Dave Newbury and the team at Case Security.
"The commercial team also deserve a special mention for their tireless efforts in organising and running the event.
