Spence: Dons looking up

14 November 2015

Jordan Spence says he and his Dons team-mates are determined to move up the Sky Bet Championship table.

Despite being in their inaugural season in the second tier and battling against many clubs with far more financial clout, the right-back wants the men from MK1 to remain positive and push on.

Spence said: “The season has been largely okay. When you look at the table, we’re disappointed where we are – ultimately you can argue about this or about that, but after the number of games that we've had, you often are where you deserve to be.

“So we’ll be trying to get better and improve that league position. I think at times we've showed what we’re capable of and other times we've been disappointed with some of the showings.”

The former West Ham United man added: “I'm not one who buys into the myth of being a smaller club than the rest (of the Championship). At the end of the day, I want to play at this level and try to play higher, as do all of the boys in the changing room.

“So if we do, we need to compete at this level and show that we can.”
